Thanks Teach! is run by Kirk Atkinson, a junior at Fox Lane High School in Bedford, New York. He had an opportunity to say “thank you” by giving small gesture, and make a difference in his community. So for all the kids who didn’t get a chance to say “thanks teach!” to their favorite teachers, Kirk has set out to give a small token of gratitude to as many teachers as possible.

It’s something his mom taught him: never miss an opportunity to say “thank you”

ABOUT KIRK

Kirk Atkinson went to Bedford Hills Elementary School and is currently a junior at Fox Lane High School in Bedford, NY. He spends most of his day cramming in homework between Football, hockey and lacrosse practices.

In the summer he plays golf and works at the Mt. Kisco Country Club. And once in a while, he gets to play with his dog, Buck E.

WHAT

Kirk wanted to focus on his local community, Westchester County

Elementary school teachers. Why? Because they dedicate their entire day with the same group of kids in their classes. Teachers like Miss Ross, Kirk’s 4rd grade teacher, had a positive and lasting influence on him.

WHEN
Since December 2013, we are coordinating with elementary schools in Westchester County to spread good cheer to all the teachers.
